Our Residential Property Department is headed by Director, Mark Williams. Mark, who has over thirty years’ experience in property work has practised in Nottingham since 1988. He personally handles higher value residential transactions on behalf of clients both new and old, across the country. Other transactions are dealt with by our highly experienced Residential Property team. The Department operates to Lexcel and Conveyancing Quality accreditation standards and the firm is a panel member for all major (and most minor) mortgage lenders. We have experience of self-build acquisitions, land and farm purchases or sales, as well as buy-to-let or self-occupation. We act for many investor clients and have many clients who have moved with us time and time again over the years. The location of your property is no bar to us acting (providing it is located within England and Wales) and indeed we deal with many transactions in London and on the South Coast. Locally we have particular experience in specialist areas with unique property quirks, such as The Park in Nottingham. We are familiar with many area-specific problem issues, and because of our experience, we know what questions to ask and what searches to carry out to ensure that your biggest financial commitment is properly investigated and protected.

Conveyancing

Within the department we have a specialist New-Build Conveyancing Team of three– Director Jane Burton, Lisa Shambrook, and Suzi Cotterill.  Between them the New-Build Team has around fifty years’ combined experience of new-build work. The team are fully familiar with Help to Buy schemes and indeed all assistance schemes available on new-build purchases. We are panel solicitors for many major national developers including Barratt Homes, David Wilson Homes, Bellway, Keepmoat and others.
